I'm a jazz critic. I write about hip-hop, too. Sometimes I'm meta. Sometimes I'm painfully detailed. Deal. I write for myself, and no one else, but sometimes I appear on Nextbop.com. Deal with that, too. I've been doing this since 2009, and I'm not done yet. One day Nate Chinen will put me on his blogroll. Then I'll really start getting into it.
